Kareem DeAngelo Steele 30, the son of Patricia A. Patterson and James Junior Steele was born on January 4, 1990 in Charlotte, North Carolina. On January 23, 2020 he took flight to be with the Lord surrounded by his family. Kareem was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and graduated from Cross Road High School. Kareem also ran track and played football for James Martin Middle School. Kareem was known to many as “Reem” and to mom “My Baby”. He was so passionate about cooking that he became a “Chef”. Kareem was a very loving person and he loved his daughter with a passion, and she loved him (Tootie). She adored her daddy so much. He would always tell his sisters in a joking way, “I’m y’all Daddy” but in reality, he meant that there was not a mean bone in his “Soul”. Very respectful and a true Cowboy fan who loved his family and friends. Kareem was predeceased in death by his grandparents, Johnny Patterson, Anne Steele, Uncle Maurice Neely, Aunt Robin Neely and Shirley Patterson, which was his favorite aunt. Kareem life will forever be cherished in the life of his daughter; Karmyn Nicole Clemmons, parents; mother, Patricia Patterson, father, James Junior Steele(Kim), sisters; Chanquilla Steele, Patrice Roberson, Kayla Stanley, Ciara Stanley and Zaria Culbertson, Jartavous Gaither, brother; Jartavous Gaither, aunts; Mikita Givens, Valerie Neely, Barbara Ann Steele, Diana Neely, Michelle Neely and Latoya Neely, uncles; James Neely, Christopher Neely, Toney Steele, Arthur Steele, Darrin Neely, Walter Neely and Wayne Neely, Steven Sanders, grandparents; Barbara Neely and James W. Steele and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
